After December’s excellent turnout we’re going to try some Friday night jams, starting with the February 3rd Jam. Same place, same time, just a day later. Hey, it’s the weekend, drag your comicbooking pals out for a few beers and fart jokes.
The idea would be to have them on Fridays permanently, but that all depends on what schedule the bar has available. We’re good for a while, but sports playoffs and things that actually bring in real money are sure to get priority, and that’s understandable.
So, check back here for upcoming dates, or join the House of Twelve Facebook Group and get them posted on your FB schedule automatically.

We here at Casa de Twelve extend a laurel and a hearty handshake to all who came out to last months NYC Comic Jam celebrating Retrofit comics with Philly’s Box Brown, Pat Aulisio, and Harlem’s Josh Beyer. It was the most attended jam we’ve had in some time and some really funny comics came out of it, I’ll try and scan some after all the holiday madness is over. Here’s a little sample though, above, the Jam Wall, featuring many actionable rip-offs of some of America’s least lovable cartoon stars.

If you’re like me, you love yourself some comics made with heart. In all my travels I’ve seldom come across creators with more heart then the Retrofit Comics guys outta Philly.
Lucky for all of us New Yorkers, they’re having a jam-packed signing over at Jim Hanley’s Universe on Friday, December 2nd. With Pat Aulisio, Josh Bayer and Box Brown. In celebration of their complete awesomeness, we’re pushing the Jam back a day to coincide with the event!
So, FRIDAY, DEC. 2, go over to Hanley’s get your mitts on some great Retrofit comics (6-8 pm), then run over to the Jam for beers with the whole crew (7:30-11ish). Special door prize for whatever random reason I decide and a return of THE JAM WALL!

The 10th Anniversary Jamboree was a great success, we had a packed house of creative types doodling and drinking. Sadly, the AC conked out, but a perfect party is rarely memorable. Check out the gallery below for a peek at all the sweaty glamor of big city drunk cartoonists!

Hey there y’all,
Next month’s jam is on Saturday, August 6th, 2011 and celebrates the 10th Anniversary of the jams. It’s been a pretty amazing ride, we’ve weathered terrorists attacks, Lord Rexington Fear attacks, moving locations, lock outs, celebrities (Hello, Jimmy Fallon), and more talking dick jokes then anyone ever needed in one lifetime. I’d like to thank each and every person who’s ever come out to one of our events, it’s you people that make the jam as ridiculous and awesome as it is. Being involved in them has been one of my proudest achievements. Please come out and help us celebrate this monumental occasion.
RSVP on the Facebook invite HERE

Here’s one from the Jam’s McCarthy’s era. It’s got drawings from Kevin Colden, Dave McKenna, Evan Forsch, myself and a slew of others. I started this one on the bus en route to the bar, I remember the lady next to me giving me dirty looks as I drew a guy’s mouth exploding. Well, y’know, that’ll happen.
It also features one of the sometimes-too-often “Character X Becomes Cheese” scenarios. In this one Joe Meyer turns me into Jesus. So be it.
This is the first update in a while, Team 12 has been through several babies and a wedding (my own) over the last four months, but I’m beginning to get back on track. I have a bunch more scanned and will get to editing and posting them over the next week. Honest.

I’m pretty sure this one’s done by Darryl Ayo, Dave McKenna and myself back and forth, back and forth. I really liked this one and hoped it’d last a little longer, but sadly, no one ever picked it up again. From 2009.

This 2009 comic starts out with some kitty puke, ends in tragedy. Short and sweet, sometimes you just nail it early. I remember Jenny commenting on the nice kitty drawing in panel 1, which I think contributed to it’s final outcome.

I actually have no idea who did this, sorry!

Some funny dick jokes from 2007. The last two by Kevin Colden and myself are pretty great, if I do say so myself. Please forgive the terrible scanning job, I had a day where everything went to shit and I didn’t want to redo them all.
