Here’s one from the Jam’s McCarthy’s era. It’s got drawings from Kevin Colden, Dave McKenna, Evan Forsch, myself and a slew of others. I started this one on the bus en route to the bar, I remember the lady next to me giving me dirty looks as I drew a guy’s mouth exploding. Well, y’know, that’ll happen.
It also features one of the sometimes-too-often “Character X Becomes Cheese” scenarios. In this one Joe Meyer turns me into Jesus. So be it.
This is the first update in a while, Team 12 has been through several babies and a wedding (my own) over the last four months, but I’m beginning to get back on track. I have a bunch more scanned and will get to editing and posting them over the next week. Honest.

Let me tell you a stupid story about a stupid guy. This is the briefest retelling of the Lord Rexington Fear story you’re ever gonna see. It’s been covered extensively over the years and frankly, I’m sick of it. But, he does pop up in the jams from time to time as a sort of our ‘goto idiot’ so it deserves explanation. Here goes…
So, back in the first year of the jams this guy who was known in the comics community as Lord Rexington Fear showed up for a few months. During that time attendance dropped dramatically. When I’d see folks out and about and ask where they’d been, they’d complain about him being there because he is generally an awful human being. Being a fair host, I couldn’t just kick him out for not getting along with people, that seemed counter to the jam’s original intent. Little did I know…
One month my girlfriend at the time came by the jam and sat in for a while. When I got up to go to the can, he rolled up, drooled all over her and began talking shit about me. The other people there were aghast and someone ran to fill me in. I ignored it for that night, but the next day emailed him and told him he wasn’t welcome at the jams any more. He didn’t take it too well.
There were several more run ins with Sexy Rexy that year, culminating in him attending a comic book show showing off a pairing knife bragging about his intention to do in K. Thor Jensen and me.
This particular appearance takes place shortly after the knife incident, which fascinated ‘Dirty’ Danny Hellman to no end. He draws many of the later sexually explicit panels with maybe a little too much enthusiasm.

Hailing from November of 2005, this jam, Texas 2099, I really tried to set something up that wouldn’t instantly devolve into a dick joke, but Miss ruins it by the third panel. I thought a nice sci-fi western would be innocent enough to slip under the turgid cock-radar, but no, it wasn’t to be. Still, it’s got some great art from Miss Lasko-Gross, Dave McKenna and Joe Meyer in it and some fun ideas.
